The book "Der Himmel ist blau. Ich auch" (The Sky is Blue and so am I) published by the Swiss author Walter Rufer in Munich in 1963 – under the title "Schwabinger Tagebücher" – was rediscovered and republished a few years ago. The power, humour and the brilliant simplicity of his texts drew unforeseen attention from literary circles and publications. However, the life of the completely unknown author remains largely in the dark. The stirring search for traces of the lost poet explores the sometimes precarious relationship between art and life.
